Olivier Giroud scored a brace for France against Bulgaria as the World Cup winners won 3-0. The Chelsea star came on from the bench to replace an injured Karim Benzema, to make it big in the international friendly.
He has now scored 46 goals for France after not getting a lot of opportunities to make it into the playing XI due to a star-studded squad.
This was France’s final game before they being their Euro 2020 campaign. The Frenchmen reached last Euro’s final, but came a goal short against Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portugal.
France’s domination was quite evident from the start. While Giroud got two goals under his belt, it was Barcelona forward Antoinne Griezmann who got the opening goal to his name, and with that attention of the football fraternity.

The left-footed Frenchman netted the goal with a bicycle kick. and Giroud, who has had very few chances to play at Chelsea this season, scoring his 45th and 46th international goals after replacing Benzema.
As for Benzema, it hasn’t yet been confirmed if he will miss out on any Euro 2020 match due to his injury. Providing an update on his injury.
