West Indies star all-rounder Andre Russell feels that the Pakistan Super League is one of the toughest T20 leagues in the world due to elite bowling standards.
The 33-year-old Caribbean star was speaking to Geo News in a virtual interview in Abu Dhabi. Andre Russell, who is a regular participant at the Indian Premier League, Big Bash League and other franchises said the PSL belongs at the very top as well.
“The talent, the quality of cricket, especially the bowling, and each team has proper bowlers and proper local domestic players, and with international players coming in to add that strength makes it a top league,” the all-rounder said.
DreRuss has signed with Quetta Gladiators for the remainder of the PSL that will take place in the UAE. He just played in the IPL where he represented Kolkata Knight Riders under Eoin Morgan.
In the past, Russell used to play for two-time PSL champions Islamabad United until Sarfaraz Ahmed’s side roped him in. He is in high demand in the franchise cricket globally due to his excellent all-round abilities.
Not only can Russell send the ball miles into the stands, but he can also deliver lethal deliveries at the death to save crucial runs for his team.
